It focuses on how teens are expected to make career defining choices with barely any experience, and also how parents often take so much authority that their child’s decision is not actually their own

This comparison especially hard-hitting because if you are young (even 18-ish) and want a tattoo, people get on you about how it’s permanent and you might regret it. However, people fail to see how this same logic applies with career choices, especially when it’s beyond hard to go back on a career and re-take your schooling, but actually not that hard to get laser surgery to remove some ink from your skin. It’s kind of a backwards view of things imo.
